Job Requirements

  • Basic food preparation knowledge
  • 0 to 1 years of related experience
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to converse comfortably with customers
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist and stand for job functions
  • Ability to work with sharp knives and hot equipment
  • Ability to work in hot environment
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Basic food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and menus
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in high-volume or fast casual dining environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • taste products, follow menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies
  • cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
  • practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
  • operates a variety of kitchen equipment, measures and mixes ingredients, washes, peels, cuts and shreds fruits and vegetables
  • stocks, dates, rotates and checks temperature of product
