- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods
- Knowledge of Universal Precautions and rules that govern hazardous waste
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Previous experience in skilled nursing facility preferred
- Texas Food Handler Certificate preferred

Job Duties
- Prepared food items on assigned/scheduled menus
- Maintains sanitation of equipment and utensils, work area, storage area, and serving area
- Follow proper food handling procedures
- Ensure meals are apportioned according to resident diet specifications
- Comply with facility dietary and sanitary regulations
- Assist with inventory management and kitchen organization
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and nursing staff
