Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience or education in quantity food preparation
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and production sheets accurately
  • Current Food Handler's Certificate valid in Oregon

Job Duties

  • Prepares hot and cold menu items for cafeteria patients and special functions following recipes
  • Ensures food is prepared to high standards of appearance, taste, temperature, and portion control
  • Performs meat fabrication, fish cutting, and sauce making
  • Maintains clean and sanitary workstations including kitchen equipment
  • Follows kitchen policies and standard portion sizes consistently
  • Assists in closing the kitchen properly and supports team members
  • Participates in employee meetings and suggests improvements
