Job Requirements
- One year experience as a cook in a large, complex healthcare facility, hotel, or institution
- Knowledge of food and food products
- Skill in quality food production including tray-line, cafeteria, grill, and catering
- Ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
- Knowledge of health department codes and sanitation policies
- Superb customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends, variable days and hours
- Ability to bend, squat, stand, and walk for long periods
- Employment subject to criminal background check and pre-employment physical
Job Qualifications
- One year experience as a cook in a large, complex healthcare facility, hotel, or institution
- Demonstrated knowledge of food and food products
- Proven skill in all areas of quality food production including tray-line, cafeteria, grill, and catering
- Ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Thorough knowledge of health department codes and sanitation policies
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in cooking at a Title 22 licensed healthcare facility preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare hot and cold menu items according to standardized recipes
- Ensure food is prepared to high standards of appearance, taste, texture, temperature, and portion control
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization at all times
- Adhere to health department codes and sanitation policies
- Operate tray-line, cafeteria, grill, and catering stations proficiently
- Support food service to patients in a healthcare setting
- Perform other related duties as required
