Job Requirements
- three years of experience in large scale cooking or equivalent combination of experience and training
- associate degree from a regionally accredited or NYS registered two-year college in Food Service Administration, Dietetics, or Nutrition and one year of experience in large scale food preparation
- ability to perform heavy lifting
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- strong leadership and communication skills
Job Qualifications

- ability to manage a team effectively
Job Duties
- oversee all aspects of food preparation and serving for 500+ students
- directly supervise 5-10 employees
- ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and National School Lunch/Breakfast Program requirements
- manage daily operations including inventory, ordering, and accurate recordkeeping
- maintain food quality control and safe storage and handling
- uphold kitchen sanitation and equipment maintenance
- handle cash transactions and employee time records
- perform heavy lifting as required
