Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Knowledge of food preparation principles and food safety regulations
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and extended standing or walking
- Willingness to wear uniforms and use Personal Protective Equipment
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations including food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
