Job Requirements
- age 18 or older
- ability to pass Minnesota DHS background study
- daily use of computer, phone, and kitchen facility equipment
- ability to sit and stand for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
- frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
- ability to navigate program or office environment including ascending and descending steps, passing through doorways and entrances
- ability to access program and office facilities
- proficient in English communication and documentation
Job Qualifications
- minimum age 18 or older
- able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
- broad cooking skills in a variety of venues
- working knowledge of kitchen operating procedures including food handling and cleanliness following Safe Serv practices
- proficient in English with effective communication and documentation skills
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum 2 years related cooking experience in scratch kitchen preferred
- previous experience in addiction treatment residential facility preferred
- Safe Serv Certification preferred
- strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work on a team preferred
- ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds preferred
- Minnesota driver’s license without restrictions preferred
Job Duties
- prepare nutritious meals incorporating special dietary needs
- maintain appropriate health standards for food preparation and kitchen cleanliness
- prepare pre-packaged snacks for outpatient treatment programs
- maintain professional and friendly relationships with residential and outpatient clients
- work split shift hours when required
- maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state guidelines and HIPAA
- ensure compliance with Safe Serv food handling practices
