Job Requirements
- Age 18 or older
- able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
- daily use of computer, phone, and kitchen equipment
- ability to sit and stand for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
- ability to navigate program or office environments including stairs and doorways
- working knowledge of kitchen procedures and food handling
- proficiency in English communication
- ability to document services effectively in writing
Job Qualifications
- Age 18 or older
- able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
- broad cooking skills with experience in full-service meal preparation
- working knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety
- proficiency in English communication and documentation
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum of 2 years related cooking experience preferred
- experience in addiction treatment residential facilities preferred
- Safe Serv certification preferred
- strong interpersonal communication skills preferred
- ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds preferred
- Minnesota Driver's License without restrictions preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare nutritious meals incorporating special dietary needs
- maintain cleanliness and safety standards in kitchen operations
- prepare pre-packaged snacks for outpatient programs
- engage professionally and empathetically with clients
- maintain client confidentiality according to HIPAA and state guidelines
- work split shifts when required
- follow Safe Serve food handling practices
