Job Requirements

  • Age 18 or older
  • able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
  • daily use of computer, phone, and kitchen equipment
  • ability to sit and stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
  • ability to navigate program or office environments including stairs and doorways
  • working knowledge of kitchen procedures and food handling
  • proficiency in English communication
  • ability to document services effectively in writing

Job Qualifications

  • Age 18 or older
  • able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
  • broad cooking skills with experience in full-service meal preparation
  • working knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety
  • proficiency in English communication and documentation
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • minimum of 2 years related cooking experience preferred
  • experience in addiction treatment residential facilities preferred
  • Safe Serv certification preferred
  • strong interpersonal communication skills preferred
  • ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds preferred
  • Minnesota Driver's License without restrictions preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare nutritious meals incorporating special dietary needs
  • maintain cleanliness and safety standards in kitchen operations
  • prepare pre-packaged snacks for outpatient programs
  • engage professionally and empathetically with clients
  • maintain client confidentiality according to HIPAA and state guidelines
  • work split shifts when required
  • follow Safe Serve food handling practices
