Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • possess a current Food Handlers Card
  • criminal background clearance
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
  • ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds frequently
  • comfortable working in extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • willingness to work primarily indoors and occasionally outdoors for events

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
  • proficient written and oral communication skills
  • ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • experience working in a culinary or food service environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
  • provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
  • ensure health protocols are always followed including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
  • familiarize yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs
  • participate in resident orientations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • assist with inventory and food storage management
