Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience preferred but not necessary
Ability to follow printed recipes and plate specifications
Basic food safety knowledge and/or be serve safe certified
Ability to excel in a guest and team-oriented environment
Ability to take direction in a positive manner
Able to work in a fast-paced and hot environment
Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift 40 pounds
Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Regular, reliable and dependable transportation and attendance
Open availability, including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrate cooking skills and be able to follow printed recipes and plate specifications
Able to excel in a guest and team-oriented environment
The employee must have the ability to take direction in a positive manner
The employee must have basic food safety knowledge and/or be serve safe certified
Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written

Job Duties

Assumes 100 percent responsibility for quality of products served
Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, fryers, pasta cookers, sautÃ

burners, convection oven and refrigeration equipment
Prepares items for grilling, frying, sautÃ
©
ing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating
Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
Handles, stores and rotates all products properly
Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
Assists others in closing the kitchen
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift 40 pounds
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Must have the ability to work in a fast paced and hot environment
Must have regular, reliable and dependable transportation and attendance
Attends all scheduled team member meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written to clearly communicate with managers, kitchen and serving staff
