Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year related dietary experience
- Food handlers card within 30 days of hire
- Ability to comply with company attendance policy
- Ability to perform work in shift and on-call situations
- Ability to maintain all applicable required education
- Ability to follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures
- Ability to perform related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year related dietary experience
- Graduate of related technical school may substitute experience
- Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs
- Knowledge of growth and development applicable to patient groups
- Understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients
- Demonstrate competency through initial orientation and ongoing competency validation
- Positive customer service and co-worker relations skills
- Compliance with attendance policies
- Ability to participate in continuous quality improvement activities
- Ability to perform work cost-effectively and in alignment with organizational mission
- Knowledge of departmental pay practices and scheduling policies
Job Duties
- Accurately determine the quantities of food to prepare
- Complete production worksheets and documentation
- Standardize and develop new recipes
- Prepare foods for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions in a timely and accurate manner
- Inspect food stations and equipment to ensure that proper sanitary and safety regulations are enforced
- Orient and train new employees as assigned
- Assist in patient satisfaction goals
