Job Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Be well groomed and practice good personal hygiene
  • Communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Able to work standing for long periods up to 8 hours
  • Understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Safely handle kitchen utensils and food preparation tools

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and National School Lunch (NSL) guidelines
  • Assist in developing daily meal rotation menus
  • Prepare and deliver meals on time per guidelines of NSL
  • Maintain food storage and preparation areas per standards
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas at all times
  • Help supervise accurate meal count documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
