Job Requirements
- Ability to pass a written test at the eighth grade level
- one year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in large-scale food preparation and serving
- applicant must furnish an approved food handler’s certificate within seven days after appointment
- must provide detailed work history
- must verify post high school education or training as required
- compliance with probationary period of six months
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and food service plans
- select and vary cooking methods and menus as needed to meet facility requirements
- supervise Food Service Workers and other assigned staff as directed
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- maintain inventory and requisition food supplies
- operate large-scale kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- perform cleaning and maintenance duties within the kitchen area
