Job Requirements

  • Ability to pass a written test at the eighth-grade level
  • One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in large-scale food preparation and serving
  • Must furnish an approved food handler's certificate within seven days after appointment
  • Detailed work history must be provided
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Willingness to perform assigned duties including paperwork and equipment maintenance
  • Must comply with inspection and nutrition program requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare three meals and snacks per day for residents
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of all food service equipment
  • Follow mandated menus including special diets
  • Assist with paperwork for inspections and nutrition programs
  • Order, receive, store, and manage accountability of food service items
  • Maintain daily and weekly logs according to policy
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents
