Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one-year cooking or baking experience
- Able to read and write English
- Able to follow oral and written directions
- Able to walk and stand for long periods
- Able to work with equipment that generates heat, steam, and cold
- Able to follow recipes to prepare food
- Working knowledge of HACCP and applicable food codes
- Appropriate knife skills

Job Duties
- Cooks and seasons food for patients, employees, guests, and visitors following established recipes
- Prepares and stores food in accordance with HACCP principles and applicable food codes
- Safely uses, cleans, and cares for equipment and work areas
- Accurately manages position paperwork including following recipes and production sheets and completing forecasting documents
- Follows correct hand hygiene procedures including washing hands between tasks and using gloves when handling ready-to-eat foods
- Utilizes appropriate scripting and responds to patients and internal customers in a collaborative manner
- Correctly date-marks food items, monitors temperature control and use-by dates, and ensures food items are stored properly
- Prepares, assembles, serves, cooks, or bakes food and beverages per guidelines and time deadlines for service
