Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one-year cooking or baking experience
- Ability to read and write English and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work with and around equipment generating heat, steam, and cold
- Ability to follow recipes to prepare food
- Working knowledge of HACCP and applicable food codes
- Demonstrated appropriate knife skills

Job Duties
- Cook and season food according to established recipes
- Prepare and store food following HACCP principles and food codes
- Safely use, clean, and maintain equipment and work areas
- Accurately manage position paperwork including recipes and forecasting documents
- Follow proper hand hygiene procedures
- Collaborate effectively with internal customers including cafeteria staff and supervisors
- Date-mark food items and monitor temperature control and use-by dates
- Prepare, assemble, serve, cook, or bake food and beverages per guidelines and time deadlines
