Job Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written food preparation instructions
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations regarding equipment use and personal hygiene
  • Capacity to stand for long durations
  • Able to lift and move items weighing approximately 35 lbs to waist height
  • Willingness to adhere to COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols
  • Availability to work Monday - Friday with no nights or weekends
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned
  • Positive and reliable work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a similar cooking or food preparation role advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written food recipes, production orders, and cooking instructions
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
  • Positive attitude and cooperative team player
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and lift objects up to 35 lbs
  • Customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and serve foods including soups, sauces, salads, entrees, and catering items as directed by the Chef Manager
  • Set up the cooking station prior to service with appropriate equipment and food
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following supervisor instructions and health, safety, and food handling regulations
  • Provide courteous customer service at all times
  • Receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate, and stow deliveries
  • Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
