Job Requirements

  • must comprehend verbal and written food recipes and cooking instructions
  • follow all health and safety regulations regarding equipment use and personal hygiene
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • capable of lifting and moving approximately 35 lbs to waist height
  • adhere to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation protocols
  • demonstrate a positive and cooperative attitude
  • able to receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate and stow deliveries
  • willing to perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in cooking or food preparation
  • ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong customer service skills
  • positive and proactive attitude
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs

Job Duties

  • prepare, cook and serve foods including soups, sauces, salads, entrees, and catering items as directed by the Chef Manager
  • set up cooking stations with appropriate equipment and food prior to service
  • maintain a clean and safe work environment following health and safety regulations
  • provide courteous customer service at all times
  • receive, unpack, date, rotate and store food deliveries
  • adhere to company and client COVID-19 safety protocols
  • assist with other kitchen tasks as assigned by supervisor
