Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in quantity cooking in an institutional kitchen
  • knowledge of County, State and Federal food safety regulations
  • ability to estimate food quantities accurately
  • ability to adhere to meal schedules
  • ability to store and label food properly
  • able to work flexible schedules
  • must be polite and responsible
  • able to work under pressure and multi-task
  • strong work ethic
  • able to work independently and collaboratively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years experience in quantity cooking in an institutional kitchen
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

  • Estimate quantities of food required
  • order inventory and rotate food items as needed
  • meet meal schedules
  • apportion food items based on diet order and residents’ food preferences
  • properly store and label food items
  • maintain sanitation standards and food handling procedures based on County, State and Federal regulations
  • use mechanical food service equipment
