Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry large pans weighing up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, and whip various foods and liquids
- Ability to handle and operate kitchen equipment
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of the shift
- Ability to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at the waist, bend, and squat frequently
- Capacity to push and pull to move equipment, mops, and brooms
- Comfortable working in a hot, damp, and moderate-to-high noise environment
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous back-of-the-house food service experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
- Basic math skills including understanding, calculating, and following recipe measurements and proportions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
- Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained
- Store food correctly
- Ensure freshness and quality of all menu items
- Package all products to proper specifications
- Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties
- Conduct end-of-day inventory according to guidelines
