Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- experience in kitchen food preparation and routine
- bilingual English/Spanish or English/Navajo helpful
- ability to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire
- successful completion of health exam and TB test
- passing criminal background checks
- valid driver’s license and insurance if driving
- compliance with PMS automobile usage and drug-free workplace policies
- willingness to complete transportation related trainings if required
Job Qualifications
- Experience in kitchen including food preparation and routine
- bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Navajo preferred
- ability to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications
- valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance if driving is required
- strong organizational and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare meals in accordance with USDA and Head Start nutrition standards
- operate kitchen equipment and maintain kitchen sanitation
- manage meal delivery to multiple Head Start Centers as needed
- comply with New Mexico Child Care licensing regulations
- maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- assist with inventory management and restocking kitchen supplies
- ensure proper documentation and reporting of meal preparation and delivery
