Iris Memory Care of Edmond is a specialized assisted living community dedicated to providing high-quality memory care services in Southwestern Edmond, Oklahoma. Located conveniently at 2424 NW 178th between Penn and May and easily accessible via the Lake Hefner Parkway, this freestanding facility caters exclusively to residents coping with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in dietary services or food preparation
  • familiarity with memory care or elder care dietary needs
  • ability to work specified schedules including early mornings and weekends
  • compliance with health and safety regulations
  • good physical stamina for kitchen work
  • strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Experience preparing food in healthcare or memory care settings
  • knowledge of special diet requirements for residents with dementia
  • strong management and supervisory skills
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work collaboratively with care staff
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • culinary training or certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage planning and directing dietary department activities
  • supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director
  • ensure food service standards and policies are followed
  • maintain compliance with city and state food regulations
  • coordinate with care staff to meet residents' dietary needs
  • prepare and serve meals according to menu cycle
  • maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness and sanitation
