Iris Memory Care of Edmond is a specialized assisted living community located in Southwest Edmond, Oklahoma. Situated conveniently at 2424 NW 178th, between Penn and May and just off the Lake Hefner Parkway, this facility is dedicated exclusively to memory care. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation in a healthcare or memory care setting
- Ability to work scheduled hours including half day Wednesday and full days Thursday to Saturday
- Knowledge of city and state food service regulations
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Physical ability to perform kitchen duties
- Commitment to supporting dignity and independence of residents
Job Qualifications
- Experience preparing food in a healthcare setting with special diets preferred
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage and supervise dietary staff
- Understanding of dietary needs of residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Culinary skills relevant to meal preparation and presentation
Job Duties
- Manage, plan, and direct dietary department activities
- Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director
- Ensure food service standards, policies, and procedures are followed
- Prepare and present meals efficiently and within scheduled time frames
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards meeting governmental regulations
- Coordinate with care staff to meet residents' dietary needs
- Clean and maintain food service and dining areas ensuring compliance with health codes
