Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills
  • knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum 1 year of cooking experience
  • experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform job duties
  • willingness to work in hot environment
  • comfort with working around sharp knives and hot equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • knowledge of HACCP standards
  • experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • communicates ticket times and potential problems to management and servers as necessary
  • cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
  • practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
  • operates a variety of kitchen equipment including fryers, flat top griddles, and pantry tools
  • stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product
  • performs other duties as assigned
