Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist and stand for long periods
- Comfortable working with sharp knives and hot equipment
- Ability to work in a hot environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience in a high volume or fast casual dining environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques including soups, saute, broiler, fry and pantry
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Basic food safety knowledge and HACCP compliance
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions including frying, grilling, pantry preparation, and cooking eggs
- Communicate ticket times and potential issues to management and servers
- Follow food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
- Operate kitchen equipment and maintain clean and sanitized workstations
- Measure, mix ingredients and prepare food items such as soups, meats, vegetables and desserts
- Stock, date, rotate and check product temperatures
- Assist with inventory planning and requisition supplies as needed
