Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year cooking experience in a related field
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions
  • effective communication skills
  • physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • willingness to comply with all company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum of one year closely related cooking experience
  • experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • ability to communicate effectively with others
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist and stand for prolonged periods
  • capability to work with knives, utensils and kitchen equipment safely
  • ability to work in a hot environment

Job Duties

  • prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • perform all station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and cooking eggs
  • communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • maintain clean and sanitized workstations and kitchen equipment
  • practice excellent food safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP standards
  • operate various kitchen equipment
  • measure and mix ingredients accurately
  • wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
  • stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
  • perform other assigned duties
