Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
- Experience in high volume or fast-casual dining preferred
- Knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry and pantry cooking
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and documents
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist and stand for normal job functions
- Frequent immersion of hands in water and chemicals
- Ability to work with sharp knives, utensils and hot plates
- Ability to work in hot environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
- Experience in high-volume or fast-casual dining environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and HACCP standards
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with physical demands
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to the manager and servers
- Perform all station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and cooking eggs
- Taste products, follow menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records
- Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation according to HACCP standards
- Operate kitchen equipment, measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
