Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of one year closely related cooking experience
  • Prefer experience in high volume or fast casual dining
  • Food knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policies
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand
  • Frequent hand immersion in water and chemical solutions
  • Frequent work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Frequent work in hot environments

Job Qualifications

  • Food preparation skills with knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of one year cooking experience in a related environment
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • Food knowledge related to soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
  • Perform all station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and cooking eggs
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation compliant with HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment, measure and mix ingredients, peel and cut fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
  • Perform other duties as assigned
