Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of one year of cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Capability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods
  • Frequent immersion of hands in water and use of chemical solutions
  • Frequent use of sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Ability to work in hot environments

Job Qualifications

  • One year of closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, menus, and policy documents
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
  • Perform station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking
  • Communicate ticket times and potential issues to management and servers
  • Season, cook, taste, carve, and serve various food items including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts
  • Estimate food requirements, check production, and maintain accurate records
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
