Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards required
  • Minimum 1 year of related cooking experience required
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Must be able to speak, read, and understand instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, and twist to perform job functions
  • Frequent use of hands in water and with chemicals
  • Frequent work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Ability to work in hot environments
  • Must comply with safety and sanitation policies

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • Knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry food preparation
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Effective communication skills with team members and management
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds safely
  • Ability to work standing, bending, and twisting for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • Communicates ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • Performs all station functions of Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and cooking eggs
  • Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
  • Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
  • Operates a variety of kitchen equipment
  • Measures and mixes ingredients
  • Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of products
  • Performs other duties as assigned
