Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining environment preferred
  • Food knowledge pertaining to soups sauté broiler fry and pantry
  • Ability to speak read and comprehend instructions short correspondence and policy documents
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend twist and stand to perform job functions
  • Frequent immersion of hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
  • Frequent work with sharp knives utensils and hot plates
  • Ability to work in hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience

  • Ability to speak read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Strong food preparation skills for soups sauté broiler fry and pantry

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing seasoning cooking tasting carving and serving food items including soups meats vegetables desserts and other products
  • Taste products follow menus estimate food requirements check production and keep records to accurately plan production and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation complying with HACCP standards
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment measure and mix ingredients wash peel cut and shred fruits and vegetables
  • Stock date rotate and check temperature of product
  • Perform other duties as assigned
