Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of 1 year related cooking experience
- Work experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
- Knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work in hot environments
- Frequent use of sharp knives and hot plates
- Frequent immersion of hands in water and chemical solutions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
- Experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Knowledge of cooking techniques including soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
- Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
- Perform other duties as assigned
