Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for job functions
  • Ability to work in hot environments
  • Comfortable working with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Effective communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years cooking experience
  • High volume or fast casual dining background

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of related cooking experience in high-volume or fast casual dining
  • Knowledge of sauces, soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • Perform station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and cooking eggs
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • Follow menus and estimate food requirements
  • Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • Practice food safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and measure and mix ingredients
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
  • Perform other duties as assigned
