Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for prolonged periods
- Frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
- Frequently immerses hands in water and chemicals

- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Food preparation skills
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of 3 years cooking experience in high volume or fast casual dining
- Knowledge of sauces, soups, sauté, broiler, fry and pantry
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Supervisory or lead experience preferred
Job Duties
- Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food and beverage products
- Tastes products to ensure quality, follows menus, estimates food requirements, checks production and keeps records to plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment
- Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment
- Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
- Operates a variety of kitchen equipment
- Measures and mixes ingredients, washes, peels, cuts and shreds fruits and vegetables
- Stocks, dates, rotates and checks temperature of product
- Communicates ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
- Performs other duties as assigned
