Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods
- capacity to work in hot kitchen environments
- ability to handle sharp knives and kitchen utensils safely
- ability to speak, read and understand instructions and policy documents
- minimum three years of related cooking experience in a high volume or fast casual dining setting
- preferred supervisory or lead experience
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years cooking experience in high volume or fast casual dining environment
- knowledge of food preparation including sauces, soups, sauté, broiler, fry and pantry stations
- ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions and policy documents
- strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members
- demonstrated commitment to food safety and sanitation practices
- familiarity with HACCP standards
- preferred experience in supervisory or lead roles
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods by following recipes and product directions
- season, cook, taste, carve and serve food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts
- communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
- clean and sanitize work stations and kitchen equipment
- operate various kitchen equipment safely
- measure and mix ingredients as required
- wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
- stock, date, rotate and check temperature of products
- comply with food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
- perform other duties as assigned
