Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in hot environments
- Experience working with sharp knives and hot plates
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years cooking experience in high-volume or fast casual dining
- Knowledge of sauces, soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Understanding of HACCP food safety standards
- Supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Perform station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and cooking eggs
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to manager and servers
- Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation compliant with HACCP
- Operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients such as washing, peeling, cutting fruits and vegetables
- Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of product
