Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in food handling and preparation, sanitation, and safety standards for institutions and/or restaurants
  • Culinary or cooking school experience or courses preferred
  • Minimum of a high school degree
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy environment
  • Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards established by management

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in food handling and preparation, sanitation, and safety standards for institutions and/or restaurants
  • Culinary or cooking school experience or courses preferred
  • Minimum of a high school degree
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy environment
  • Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards established by management
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Helping to prepare food for the next meal service including chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients according to established recipes
  • Ensuring all procedures follow required health department and company regulations
  • Checking all food temperatures prior to meal service
  • Garnishing all plates before they leave the kitchen area
  • Assisting the Director of Food Service or the Sous Chef in meal preparation tasks
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
  • Supporting the team to deliver timely and high-quality meal services
