Job Requirements

  • Ability to pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Can communicate effectively in English
  • Open availability and flexible schedule for demanding hours
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Able to bend and kneel through shift
  • able to lift up to 25 pounds or more

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • An upbeat and friendly attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control
  • Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment
  • Restock and/or break down workstation at the conclusion of the shift
  • Assist in controlling product costs by ensuring the proper management of product waste
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met
  • Work with speed and efficiency displaying the ability to multi-task and maintain organizational structure
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
