Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or foodservice environment preferred
- knowledge of Vermont food safety regulations and practices

- excellent communication with team members and supervisors
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients and components for dishes according to the menu
- ensure all ingredients are fresh and stored properly
- follow recipe specifications, portion control, and cooking instructions accurately
- cook food items to standardized recipes ensuring consistency and quality
- assemble dishes according to chef's or customer's specifications
- maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment
- comply with Vermont health and safety regulations for food handling and sanitation
- monitor kitchen inventory and assist with receiving and storing supplies
- report equipment malfunctions or kitchen issues to management
- collaborate efficiently with BOH and FOH staff
- assist in training new BOH employees
- clock in for shifts on time
- ensure food is cooked to appropriate temperatures
- follow allergy protocols and dietary restrictions
- maintain workplace safety to avoid accidents and injuries
