Job Requirements
- Associates culinary degree or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of culinary experience or training
- compliance with HACCP guidelines
- ability to stand for long periods
- willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- physical ability to handle kitchen tasks
- adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Associates culinary degree and 2 years of culinary experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Serv Safe certification may be required depending on location
- understanding of food safety and sanitation processes
- ability to follow established recipes
- good communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Learn and maintain standards in food production and quality
- comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines
- expedite orders in a timely manner
- practice excellent operational sanitation
- execute scheduled banquet functions
- maintain professional relationships with fellow associates
- help reduce loss and waste
- communicate equipment repair needs with chef
- actively participate in training efforts
- incorporate safe work practices in job performance
- maintain quality control standards
- clean and sanitize work areas
- attend staff meetings
- check and date all deliveries and report variances to chef
- verify cooler temperatures and cleanliness
- process inventory requisition and receive supplies
- prepare proper amount of food according to production plans
- prepare items in accordance with established recipes
- demonstrate ability to be on feet for majority of the day
- work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
