Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • associates culinary degree preferred
  • minimum 2 years culinary experience or equivalent training
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to comply with HACCP and food safety standards
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Associates culinary degree and 2 years of culinary experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Serv Safe certification may be required depending upon location of hire
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to follow established recipes for consistent product
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Learn and maintain standards in food production and quality
  • comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service
  • expedite orders in a timely manner
  • practice excellent operational sanitation
  • execute scheduled banquet functions
  • maintain a professional relationship with fellow associates
  • help reduce loss and waste
  • communicate equipment repair needs with chef
  • actively participate in training efforts
  • incorporate safe work practices in job performance
  • maintain quality control standards
  • clean and sanitize work areas
  • attend staff meetings
  • check and date all deliveries and report variances to chef
  • verify coolers are at proper temperatures and cleaned daily
  • process inventory requisition and receive supplies as necessary
  • prepare proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets
  • prepare items in accordance with established recipes
  • possess an understanding of food safety and sanitation processes
  • demonstrate ability to be on feet for majority of the day
  • willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
