Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 12 months experience as a cook or graduate of a culinary school
- Familiarity with gourmet and specialty menu preparation preferred
- Some experience in menu planning and costing preferred
- Valid Safe Food Handling and Sanitation Certificate from the State of Oklahoma preferred
- Ability to understand and convert measurements
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and supplies
- Ability to plan a health-conscious menu
- Ability to interpret information
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to understand profit and loss statements
- Ability to work in a standard restaurant environment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Plan and develop menus including cost assessment
- Prepare new recipes, entrees, salads, and other menu items
- Monitor and maintain physical inventory on a weekly or monthly basis
- Order produce and other food items daily
- Participate in ongoing skill development courses to stay updated on food service trends
- Prepare specialty foods such as pizzas, fish and chips, sandwiches, or tacos following specific methods
- Clean and maintain food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
- Perform various duties as needed to fulfill the function of the position
