Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 months experience as a cook or graduate of a culinary school
  • Valid Safe Food Handling and Sanitation Certificate from the State of Oklahoma
  • Ability to understand and convert measurements
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Ability to plan a health conscience menu
  • Ability to interpret information
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to understand profit and loss statements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 months experience as a cook or graduate of a culinary school
  • Familiarity with preparation of gourmet and specialty menu items
  • Some experience in menu planning and costing
  • Valid Safe Food Handling and Sanitation Certificate from the State of Oklahoma
  • Ability to understand and convert measurements
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Ability to plan a health conscience menu
  • Ability to interpret information
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to understand profit and loss statements

Job Duties

  • Plans and prepares menus including new recipes and entrees
  • Monitors and maintains physical inventory weekly and monthly
  • Orders produce and food items daily
  • Participates in ongoing skill development courses to stay updated on food service trends
  • Prepares specialty foods such as pizzas, fish and chips, sandwiches, or tacos following specific methods
  • Cleans and maintains food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • Performs various duties as needed to fulfill position functions
