Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or graduate of a culinary school
  • Ability to understand and convert measurements
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Ability to plan a health conscience menu
  • Ability to interpret information
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to understand profit and loss statement

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or graduate of a culinary school
  • Familiarity with preparation of gourmet and specialty type menu items preferred
  • Some experience in menu planning and costing preferred
  • Valid Safe Food Handling and Sanitation Certificate from the State of Oklahoma preferred
  • Ability to understand and convert measurements
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Ability to plan a health conscience menu
  • Ability to interpret information
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to understand profit and loss statement

Job Duties

  • Plan, develop, and assess costs for menus
  • Prepare new recipes including entrees, salads, and other menu items
  • Monitor and maintain physical inventory weekly and/or monthly
  • Order produce and other food items daily
  • Participate in ongoing skill development courses to stay abreast of food service trends
  • Prepare specialty foods such as pizzas, fish and chips, sandwiches, or tacos following specific methods
  • Clean and maintain food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • Perform various duties as needed to fulfill the function of the position
