Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Experience working with food and kitchen environments preferred
- Ability to maintain competencies required by state and federal regulations
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently and heavier loads with assistance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work full-time hours and adhere to safety and sanitary regulations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
- Experience working with food and in kitchen settings preferred
- Maintains competencies as required by state and federal regulations
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to push, pull objects and lift/carry up to 20 pounds unassisted frequently and up to 25 pounds with assistance occasionally
- Ability to interact effectively with residents, family members, visitors, and staff
Job Duties
- Review menus prior to preparing food
- Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times
- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and therapeutic diet requirements
- Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations
- Work with the dietitian and implement recommended changes
- Develop and maintain good working rapport with the Shahbazim and team members
- Attend in-service programs as directed
- Assist in maintaining food storage area in a clean and properly arranged manner
- Ensure food and supplies for the next meal are readily available
- Perform other duties as assigned
