Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum 2 years experience in cooking or food preparation
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently
- ability to work varied schedules including nights and weekends
- basic math and reading skills to follow recipes and complete records
- adherence to food safety protocols
- physical ability to endure kitchen environment conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2 years experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred
- ability to read recipes and production records
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- strong attention to detail and quality
- good organizational and time management skills
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Review menus and assemble food supplies and equipment for daily food production following manager instructions
- follow recipes and production methods to prepare assigned menu items
- complete daily production records
- observe and test food quality by tasting, smelling, and using a thermometer
- label, date, and store leftovers properly
- maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
- assist in serving food to patients or retail customers
