Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food quality
- uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
- stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately
- attends in-service and safety meetings
- maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers and managers
- performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- ensures proper food presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
- commits to personal and workplace safety
- abides by all company policies and procedures regarding safety equipment and protocols
