Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior living preferred
- Experience with production methods, portion control, and food handling safety required
- Great organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and presentation of food product
- Ability to work weekends
Job Duties
- Prepare hot and cold menu items including grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line
- Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving as indicated on menu cycle and standardized recipes
- Taste and prepare food to check quality and palatability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory and report supply needs
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
