Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior living preferred
  • Experience with production methods, portion control, and food handling safety required
  • Great organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and presentation of food product
  • Ability to work weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot and cold menu items including grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line
  • Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving as indicated on menu cycle and standardized recipes
  • Taste and prepare food to check quality and palatability
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Monitor inventory and report supply needs
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
