Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • three years culinary experience preferred
  • ability to work specified hours every Friday and every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am to 4pm
  • rotating holiday availability
  • possession and maintenance of ServSafe Certification
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow production sheets and kitchen protocols
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • three years culinary experience preferred
  • commissary or institutional kitchen experience preferred
  • culinary degree preferred but not required
  • professional understanding of federal, state, and local food service regulations
  • possession and maintenance of ServSafe Certification
  • creative and exciting food production skills
  • ability to work independently and within a team

Job Duties

  • prep food according to production sheets
  • provide general kitchen support
  • collaborate with other cooks on meal preparation
  • maintain quality standards and safety measures
  • adhere to infection control practices including using Standard Precautions
  • report directly to the Dining Manager and Director
  • follow all food service regulations relevant to the facility
