Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain ServSafe Certification
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule including Fridays, alternate weekends, and holiday rotations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adhere to infection control and safety policies

Job Qualifications

  • Three years culinary experience preferred
  • Commissary or institutional kitchen experience preferred
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
  • Professional understanding of federal, state and local food service regulations
  • Food Manager Sanitation Certification knowledge
  • ServSafe Certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to production sheets
  • Provide general kitchen support as assigned
  • Collaborate with other cooks and kitchen staff in meal preparation
  • Follow quality standards and infection control practices
  • Comply with safety measures and use standard precautions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Report directly to the Dining Manager and Director
