Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years culinary experience preferred
- Ability to maintain ServSafe Certification
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule including Fridays, alternate weekends, and holiday rotations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adhere to infection control and safety policies
Job Qualifications
- Three years culinary experience preferred
- Commissary or institutional kitchen experience preferred
- Culinary degree preferred but not required
- Professional understanding of federal, state and local food service regulations
- Food Manager Sanitation Certification knowledge
- ServSafe Certification required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Prepare meals according to production sheets
- Provide general kitchen support as assigned
- Collaborate with other cooks and kitchen staff in meal preparation
- Follow quality standards and infection control practices
- Comply with safety measures and use standard precautions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Report directly to the Dining Manager and Director
